Now in its third year, Broadcast Production offers students practical training in a professional working environment, making sure graduates leave with all the skills they need to work in the television industry. Producing Digital Content and Formats is a brand new course that looks at the cutting edge of technology, offering training in designing and developing cross-platform technologies that help build and engage film and TV audiences. Both courses include a six-week internship at Sky, offering graduates practical industry experience as well as a qualification at the end of the course. In addition, one student from each course is guaranteed a 3 month contract upon graduation.
As well as a opportunity to gain a qualification from one of the most prestigious film, television and new media schools in the world, Sky are offering five scholarships to students across the two courses, funding courses fees, additional mentoring as well as networking opportunities with BAFTA and RTS.
The scholarships will fully fund five places across two Sky supported NFTS one-year Diplomas; Broadcast Production and Digital Content and Formats, as well as one place on the Broadcast Production MA at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Ireland. The scholarships for the NFTS courses will be supported by BAFTA and the Royal Television Society, providing networking opportunities within these leading organisations, including invitation to industry events, one years free membership of the RTS (giving free membership at the Hospital Club) and an opportunity for a place on the BAFTA Youth Board. In addition to the mentoring provided by Sky as part of the courses, the Scholars will receive group mentoring with a senior Sky staff member.

This Blog primarily acts as a sort of reference for myself to refresh my knowledge over my studies at CCAD. Essentially it is a custom encyclopedia to help me learn and understand the information i need to progress. Some posts do contain sources from the internet, either partially or as a whole; these posts are just information that has peaked my interest while browsing.
